Technical Development, Design & Site ExecutionCasa Lando is articulated through the intersection of two pure volumes: a solid concrete base and a wooden-clad upper level protected by a vertical slat skin. The project’s spatial strategy is structured around a series of visual and spatial transitions—from the open arrival sequence to the semicovered entrance courtyard—offering a progressive relationship with light, texture, and vegetation. The interior unfolds around a central void, organizing circulations and connecting the two levels in a way that reinforces visual continuity and passive ventilation.
The material palette—exposed concrete, stone, wood, and glass—establishes a dialog between tectonic robustness and domestic warmth. The upper level’s wooden screen moderates privacy and solar incidence, while also defining the project’s identity on the street front. A lush, tropical-inspired landscape softens the rigidity of the geometric structure, integrating the house into its natural setting and enhancing its bioclimatic performance.
